Beach Litter Clean Up @ Double Bluff

You don’t need to sign up ahead of time to attend any of these beach cleanups. But, if this is your first beach cleanup with us or you would like to be notified of changes or cancellations, please contact Stinger a couple of days in advance of the event.

  • Open to all Adults, 18 or older
  • Wear appropriate clothing for the weather and footwear for walking over sand, cobble, and driftwood
  • Bags, gloves, and other equipment will be provided
  • Schedule may change due to adverse weather conditions
  • A one day volunteer park access pass is available for volunteers who do not have a Washington State Parks Discovery Pass

Two Hour Work Party at West Beach!

Join the folks from Deception Pass State Park on April 22nd to lend a hand in an Earth Day Service Project! From 10am to 12pm, help remove invasive dune grass at the Deception Pass West Beach.

Afterwards, stick around West Beach for the Junior Ranger program from 12:30pm - 2pm, with kids' activities and a special appearance by Gracie the Gray Whale skull.

Bayview Recycle Center Work Party

Learn techniques for getting rid of Scotch broom, Himalayan blackberry, and other invasive weeds using weed wrenches and other tools while beautifying the property in front of the Bayview Recycle Center. 

A short class with samples of other noxious weeds found on Whidbey Island will be presented prior to the work party.
